The South Carolina Medical Group Management Association (SCMGMA) is the healthcare managers’ organization of South Carolina exclusively focused on providing educational, networking, and leadership building opportunities for those in healthcare management. The vision of SCMGMA is to provide successful communication in healthcare through management and academics. SCMGMA emerged in January 2004 as the result of a merger of two already successful medical associations – the South Carolina Medical Management Association and the South Carolina Medical Group Management Association. The union of these two groups created a dynamic statewide professional association for managers and administrators in healthcare professions.

The Georgia Medical Group Management Association is a non-profit association whose membership is composed of individuals interested in the administrative aspect of the medical group practice.  Membership is diverse – from the small, solo physician office to the large multi-specialty clinics, IPA’s and MSO’s across the state of Georgia.  It started in 1965 with a small group of Administrators from the PAPP Clinic, Emory Clinic and a few others who just wanted to get together once a month to network.  It was then incorporated in 1968 as Georgia Medical Group Administrators.  In 1994 the name was changed to Georgia Medical Group Management Association to reflect the affiliation with MGMA.
